Professor Gill's team presented four research papers in APASL (Asia Pacific Association for Study of Liver diseases) in Brisbane Australia from March 13th to March 16th 2014. One of the research paper was awarded \"Poster of Distinction by APASL scientific committee\". Professor Gill appreciated the hard work of his team, especially Dr. Sidra khan who was the lead researcher in all four studies.

On behalf of the Scientific Programme Committee, we are very pleased to inform you that your abstract A-627-0004-00088 entitled: "OUTCOMES OF RIFAXIMIN PLUS LACTULOSE VERSUS LACTULOSE ALONE IN TREATMENT OF OVERT HEPATIC ENCEPHLOPATHY" has been accepted for both ePOSTER and PAPER POSTER PRESENTATION at the International Liver Congress™ 2014 to be held in London, UK, April 9-13, 2014.
In order to maintain the high scientific profile of the EASL congress and to remain fair to abstract submitters, all abstracts were anonymously reviewed by 4 independent reviewers.
E-POSTERS
The transformation of your poster into an electronic format will be carried out by the company: MULTIEPOSTER / MULTIWEBCAST who has been mandated by EASL. Electronic posters (E-Posters) will be made available on:

e-Poster stations during the congress (available to all onsite delegates)
Liver Tree™ during and after the congress (e-learning portal, available to EASL members).

Please note that it is mandatory to submit an E-Poster format. For this, you will shortly receive a notification providing guidelines and deadlines relating to E-Poster preparation and presentation.
PAPER POSTER (Exclusively Landscape Format)
For your Paper Poster, please follow the instructions below for your presentation:
Your poster must be displayed on Friday, 11 April 2014 between 09:00 and 18:00. The Organising Committee and the Secretariat is not responsible for posters that have not been removed/collected by the end of the day. It is your responsibility to take your poster down at the end of the sessions.
Presenters must stand next to their poster during the morning and afternoon coffee breaks for informal discussions. Presenters are also expected to be present during the scheduled Poster Session time indicated on the official scientific programme.
Guidelines for preparing your poster, including dimensions of the poster and your final poster number will be sent to you after we received your presentation confirmation by mid February..
In order to respect the EASL embargo policy, it is crucial that you do not, under any circumstances, disclose any information related to your abstract before the data is made available on the conference website.
Embargo Policy: Monday 24 March 2014 at 10:00 CEST- a large quantity of abstracts showing abstract title, author's names and abstract data will be posted online. At that time, the released abstracts are publicly available and no longer under embargo. A small quantity of abstracts will be retained and presented during the official EASL Press Office activities and/or materials. These abstracts are under strict embargo until 6:00 CEST on the day the abstract is presented at the congress. Only the embargoed abstract titles, author's and institute's names will be made available on the congress website on Monday March 24. You will be notified if your abstract falls into this category.
Young Investigator Bursary:
If you applied for a bursary upon submission of your abstract, further information will be sent to you shortly under separate cover. EASL bursaries are granted only to those who have complied with and fulfilled all requirements as indicated in the abstract instructions.
